Instead of plotting down my favourites and things I am grateful for in a journal, I’m hoping to set it down here and share it with others. I would love to hear what other people are loving and enjoying. This week I am loving:
Thrift store hauls
I love a good thrift haul. It’s so satisfying to find a killer pair of jeans or a book on my want-to-read list in a thrift store for a couple of bucks. This week, I found some fabulous Levi’s and a few great books to add to the pile. Great addition to the week.

Baking therapy
Sometime I bake for my feelings. Sometimes I bake to feed people. Sometimes I bake to use up the odds and ends in the pantry. This week, it was all three. Chocolate muffins, lemon protein pancakes with blueberry topping and a homemade cream cheese drizzle. I haven’t ruled out some further creations, but it feels good to get out the apron some days.

Quality time with the family
Sometimes life is busy and time flies too quickly, but sometimes I get a chance to grab some time with everyone together. This week, when summer seems to feels like it will be over next week, I’ve managed to get in some swimming and card playing with the fam. I feel like I really needed to seize those moments this week.
Reading time
I love to read, but often feel guilty spending time on something that isn’t a need to do item. I’m also terrible at sitting still, which is what reading requires. I’m into a great book at the moment, so I’m enjoying taking some time reading that with my coffee in the mornings. I don’t spend a lot of time each day, but I am trying to take some time for myself.

I’ve been trying very hard to capture some of the things I appreciate each week. Sometimes that is really hard.
